My Town: Pet is a new installment in this saga where players can build their own narrative in an open world, with no other reason than to just have fun playing with the objects in the environment. In this game, you can have fun in a city full of dog toys. There's just one problem: there are no dogs to play with (unless you pay).
Just like with the other games in this franchise, My Town: Pet has no dialogs or storylines. Your only goal, if you want to try and complete it, is to find the hidden hearts in the different rooms, though this is just a side quest. The city in this game is full of dog stores. There is a dog salon, a park, a toy store, and loads more. You also have a house that's completely furnished for looking after a dog. Just like the other games, if you tap on the dropdown menu, you can find different characters to play with. The only problem is that they're all people, and if you want to play with a dog, you'll have to pay or watch an ad.
All the objects in the game are there to be touched, moved about and played with. So, in the dog salon, you can turn on the showers, use hair dye and shampoo and turn on the hairdryer. In the dog park, you can play with the sand, put animals in a Ferris wheel, throw toys...
My Town: Pet is a great kids' game whose lack of goals, scores or storyline lets little children invent their own narrative and play with all the objects in this huge environment that is designed for playing with cute dogs.
